Agriculture businesses to gain procurement opportunities at Pure Michigan Summit on March 19
MKG agricultural clients may be interestd in the opporutnity to attend the Pure Michigan Agriculture Summit to gain procurement opportunitis with major grocery chains and food purchasers from around the state. A partnership between the Pure Michigan Business Connect and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), in addition to 22 Michigan food buyers, is hosting an agriculture supplier summit on Thursday, March 19 in Grand Rapids.
The participating companies are looking for more than 200 procurements ranging from herbs and strawberries to asparagus and turkey. The goal of the summit is to connect businesses with food and agriculture suppliers, growers and processors to fulfill procurement needs. In a press release issued February 17 by the Michigan Department of Agriculture, MDARD Director Jamie Clover Adams said: "The summit will provide a great platform to bring Michigan buyers and suppliers around the same table to create new business opportunities for our state. The networkin and connections made at this event will lead to increased economic development and job creation with Michigan's food and agriculture industry."
