Vince Mattina, Jr., CPA and managing partner of Mattina, Kent & Gibbons, P.C. (MKG), shared news of the firm's continuing support of community events and initiatives.
MG used its firm picnic on August 29 as an opportunity to support a Lapeer-based charity. The firm raffled off gift baskets at the picnic and used the proceeds for a 50/50 raffle designated for the Family Literacy Center in Lapeer. When Lorretta Denewith, a partner in the firm's Lapeer Office, won the raffle, she donated her winnings to the Family Literacy Center as well.
MKG was a sponsor of the Lapeer Rotary Club golf outing held on July 28 and also sponsored a four-person golf team at the Lapeer Kiwanis Club golf outing on July 13. Both events were held at the Metamora Golf & Country Club in Metamora.
MKG served as a sponsor for the Clinton River Watershed Council's (CRWC) Walk on the Wild Side event, held on July 25 to raise funds for the organization's mission to protect, enhance and celebrate the Clinton River, its watershed and Lake St. Clair. With MKG's assistance and that of other sponsors, the CRWC exceeded its goal of raising $15,000. To learn more about Rochester Hills-based CRWC visit http://www.crwc.org/
"Community involvement is important to MKG as a firm and also as individuals. We are pleased to support these and other charitable efforts in the communities where we live and work," said Mattina.
