Mattina, Kent & Gibbons, P.C. is ranked 17th in the new Crain's Detroit Business list of largest accounting firms in Michigan. The list is published in the May 9-15 issue of Crain's. This is the first time Crain's has published an accounting firm list focused exclusively on the number of employees in Michigan. MKG was noted in Crain's Detroit Business 2016 Book of Lists, released on December 28, 2015, as the 23rd largest accounting firm in Southeast Michigan.
MKG has 41 CPAs and staff in its Rochester and Lapeer offices providing services to a variety of industries including manufacturing, construction, professional services, governmental, agribusiness and non-profit organizations. Founded in 1988 as Gofrank & Mattina, the MKG name was adopted in May 2013 following a strategic merger with former Brown & Kent, P.C. in Lapeer, Michigan.
"Mattina, Kent & Gibbons continues to focus on providing exceptional client service while staying current on the complex accounting and tax laws that impact our clients and the broader business and non-profit community," Vince Mattina, Jr., CPA and managing partner, said. "We are pleased that client affirmation of the quality and value of our work allows our firm to thrive, along with our client organizations."
